How indoor planting can benefit your office environmentNovember 14, 2017
Indoor planting is proving to have a positive impact on company culture, productivity and employee wellbeing. A study conducted by the Nursery and Garden Industry, has shown that introducing an indoor planting scheme to your working environment can reduce stress.
The conclusion reads: “This study shows that just one plant per work space can provide a very large lift to staff spirits, and so promote wellbeing and performance.”
A benefit of interior planting schemes is that they change the physical atmosphere of your office space and provide a more natural environment. More people in the study had noticed increased creativity as a result.
Plants can help to remove unhealthy compounds from the air that are discharged from manufactured furnishings, fittings and equipment, meaning that your workplace will be fresher and healthier.
Indoor planting schemes can also help with your company branding, using customised planters and your chosen flower schemes can introduce colour to the workplace. Our Galvanised Steel Flower Planters are designed for outdoor use as the primed and cured galvanised steel will never rust. However, the stylish pastel colours make these units a perfect indoor decoration.
Our planters are available in a range of sizes and colours; we also offer a bespoke design service if you’re looking for a personalised unit.
We have recently introduced the Planter Bin, manufactured from galvanised steel and powder coated in your choice of RAL colour, this unit has been designed to offer a new litter bin that is not only functional but brightens office environments. The top of the bin holds a purpose made galvanised liner that sits within the inner lip of the lid to hold plants and flowers.
Fire extinguishers are often fixed to walls, so we decided to design a unit that could store multiple fire extinguishers but still offer a stylish aesthetic.
The narrow but wide Plantex Fire Extinguisher Store can comfortably hold 2-3 fire extinguishers, and has an internal planter liner fitted to the top; ideal for holding multiple small plants.
These alternative units are great for being placed around modern offices to bring colour and life to their environment. Bins aren’t always the most exciting feature to have within an organisation, so by adding the planter top, we’re hoping to help bring a design element to buildings that allows bins to be functional as well as stylish.
