News:

Let’s talk about infection prevention

May 15, 2017

We’re meeting with the Infection Prevention Society (IPS) Trent Branch tomorrow, attending the Darling Bugs of May Conference in Nottingham. This year, the theme looks at safe systems of working, a collaborative approach to infection prevention.

The event brings together industry leaders in several key sectors to discuss issues surrounding infection control. Our sales representatives Emma and Gabriella will be at the conference to answer any of your queries.

As a leading manufacturer of clinical and domestic sackholders, we work closely with the IPS to promote and sustain improvements in infection prevention. We’ve recently introduced a new range of sackholders that are of interest to the society, including our Sanitary Bin range and Mental Health Sackholder.

Manufactured from a combination of galvanised steel and aerospace grade ABS plastic, both sackholders function through the foot pedal operated chute to ensure that rubbish can’t be seen or retrieved once it’s placed inside the bin.

The Mental Health Sackholder is designed for use in hospitals and clinical settings, where added safety and security is paramount.

Those who are permitted to empty the sackholder can access the waste bag through the front opening door, which is secured with two locks. The folded edges on the lid are used to completely cover the chute system and the inner waste bag. A gas strut is fitted onto the back of the bin, meaning that the lid closes slowly to prevent any accidents.

Our Sanitary Bins are available in three sizes, 28, 42 and 80 litres; the smaller units fit comfortably next to toilets, and our larger nappy bins are perfect for washrooms.

Our sanitary bins can be operated in two ways; a ‘lip’ forms the lid of the bin that has to be lifted by hand, or you could opt for a foot pedal operated sanitary bin that opens the modesty chute.

Both units are powder coated in anti-bacterial coating to keep the sackholders hygienic; this special mix reduces the risk of bacteria spreading onto the surface of the bin when in use.

As with all Wybone sackholders, they are fire retardant and conform to HTM05-03 regulations.
