LBV/20 Transparent Glass Fibre Litter BinProduct Code: LBV/20/TRANS/WEB
The LBV/20 Transparent Glass Fibre Litter Bin offers a traditional unit that features transparent panels to give an extra level of safety and security.
What is this bin manufactured from?
This bin is manufactured from glass fibre composite (GFC) and is fitted with transparent polythene panels, to offer a level of security and transparency around what is being placed inside the bin. The glass fibre manufacture gives this bin strength and durability, whilst the traditional design makes it ideal for market towns and heritage sites.
Glass fibre composite is completely unaffected by extreme weather conditions and salt water, which allows the bin to be placed in a coastal or roadside location and remain intact. Did you know all of our GFC products are made from 65% renewable resources?
What are the advantages of GFC?
Our glass fibre litter bins have high impact strength and some of our units have even been in situ for the best part of two decades. This material also has a low carbon footprint due to the longevity of the product.
Does this bin come with any warranties?
As with all of our glass fibre units, this bin comes with a standard 1 year parts and labour guarantee and absolutely no chance of rusting through.
What is the capacity of this bin?
Four large apertures to all sides maximises the 120 litre capacity of this transparent unit, allowing for regular use before the bin needs to be emptied.
What sort of finish can I have this bin?
As this bin is manufactured from glass fibre composite, it comes with a choice of finishes. Our standard finish is a PTX textured paint that gives a rough ‘sandpaper’ like textured finish, designed to prevent unwanted graffiti and posters being applied.
You could opt for a smoother pseudo-cast iron finish with only a slight texture and no roughness, or a Victoriana finish, which is the smoother option with only a slight texture and no roughness, with the addition of highlighted beading as standard.
Where should I put this bin?
As this unit is unaffected by adverse weather conditions, it can be placed in coastal seaside towns or in busy city centres as it will remain unaffected for years to come. The Victoriana finish gives a traditional look, which is perfect for heritage sites and town centres.
The transparent panels make this bin ideal for high security areas such as tourist destinations or airports. This bin was manufactured especially for the Natural History Museum, so keep a look out for them there!
How do I install this bin?
This bin has a pre-drilled base for ground fixing; we recommend using RAWL bolts but other fixing options are available.
How do I empty this bin?
The LBV/20 Transparent Litter Bin features a budget lock as standard. Simply unlock the front opening door using the budget lock key that is provided and pull out the internal polythene liner. A handle is fitted to the exterior of the liner to make emptying an easier task.
Can I customise this bin?
We offer a range of GFC colours and finishes to tailor this bin to your specific needs. Due to the transparent panels, we would not recommend adding any artwork which would need to be placed over the panels as this will make it difficult to see into the liner.
Our full range of ashtrays can be fitted to the top of the bin to ensure that those areas where smoking is permitted can be kept clean and tidy of cigarette ends.
