The LBV/1 is a compact slimline tapered litter bin manufactured from our durable glass fibre composite with an open top for litter collection.
How is this bin manufactured?
This bin is manufactured from a material called glass fibre composite, the technique to manufacture these bins was exclusively developed by us at Wybone. A wooden carcass is sprayed with polyester resins to produce a hardwearing litter bin that will never rust. The bin is then powder coated and hand finished by our skilled team. What sort of finish can I have this bin?
Glass fibre composite products are available in a choice of finishes and colours. Our standard finish is a PTX textured paint that gives a rough, sandpaper like finish which is designed to prevent unwanted graffiti and vandalism. You could opt for our smoother pseudo-cast iron finish with only a slight texture and no roughness. Alongside the smooth finish comes the option of Victoriana beading which is a decorative edge around the bin, hand painted in gold or silver.
What is the capacity of this bin?
The large open aperture allows waste to be thrown into the liner at any angle, with a tapered profile that ensures rubbish is directed inside the bin – the internal liner can collect up 42 litres of rubbish.
What are the advantages of glass fibre composite?
Glass fibre composite is ideally suited for street furniture due to its high impact strength and durability, it can withstand extreme weather conditions and salt water. As this bin will last for years to come, it has a small carbon footprint due to its longevity.
Can I customise this bin?
This bin comes with a choice of a moulded ‘LITTER’ plate or Tidyman, hand painted in either gold or silver to the front. If you would like your own bespoke artwork on the front of the bin in the form of a perspex plate, feel free to send us an email with your requirements and our design team can look into this for you.
Where do I put this bin?
The glass fibre composite resins protect the LBV/1 against extreme weather conditions and salt water which means its ideal for coastal towns and roadside locations. The traditional style of this range makes them perfect for towns, villages and heritage sites.
How do I install this bin?
The LBV/1 has four pre-drilled holes in the base for ground fixing, we recommend using RAWL bolts to secure the unit into the ground. These are inserted into the ground where the bin is set to be installed; the bolts are then screwed on inside the unit. Unlike a permanent ground fixing, RAWL bolts allow street furniture to be moved easily.

How do I empty this bin?
The internal L39 Liner simply needs to be lifted from the body in order to remove the waste bag inside, two handles to the exterior of the liner make lifting easier.

We manufacture all of our products from scratch at our factory in South Yorkshire. Each item is handcrafted to the highest specification, with lots of Wybone TLC. We estimate that this item will be with you within TBC from receipt of payment. Large quantity orders may be subject to an extended lead time during busy periods.
Orders placed before 1PM are processed the same working day, otherwise they are processed the next working day.
