News:

It’s time for the Waste World Cup again!

August 8, 2017

We were champions in 2014, and we’re ready to take back the title.

The Wybone team is returning with our dedicated manager, Keith ‘Frankie’ Gill and will consist of players from a range of departments, including stores, production, sales and dispatch. Our Managing Director, Richard, will also be taking part.

Our competition includes Valpak, Sharpsmart, Veolia, William Tracey and many more to be announced. B&M triumphed at last year’s tournament; however, we were successful in winning the Plate Tournament with a 1-0 win against SWR Waste Management.

The Waste World Cup competition supports Waste Aid UK, a charity that shares recycling skills with communities that have no waste management services.

Dumped waste spreads disease, causes catastrophic flooding, and eventually reaches the ocean where it destroys marine life; Waste Aid UK aims to help developing countries to improve their livelihood.

The tournament takes place on 1 September at the University of Northampton; we’re looking forward to competing and seeing some familiar faces. Good luck to everyone involved!
