A busy week for visitors at Wybone HQDecember 2, 2019
We opened our doors to a number of visitors at our factory in Barnsley last week, all from different sectors of business.
We’ve worked with the IPS (Infection Prevention Society) for a number of years and as a leading manufacturer of clinical and domestic sack holders to the NHS, we work closely with the IPS to promote and sustain improvements in infection prevention. We were more than happy to host their latest special interest group meeting at our office.
We look after all of our guests when they come to visit, from hosting the venue to providing lunch and treats. The group shared their appreciation of the day on social media, including Jill Perlstrom-Wright from Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Trust; “Thank you Wybone for being such perfect hosts! It’s great to see a thriving local business in action – and the factory tour is fascinating.”
Later in the week, we welcomed WCRS Ltd (Waste Cost Reduction Services) who travelled up from Essex to meet the team and discuss their requirements with our National Sales Manager, John. They provide waste management solutions for businesses across the UK and cover a range of sectors including catering, manufacturing, retail and logistics.
Before their lunch break, we showed off our manufacturing knowledge on a factory tour with our GFC Production Manager, Paul. He has over 40 years’ experience at Wybone and loves to show guests around with a detailed and thorough tour of the department, showcasing our high-tech machinery – including the vacuum forming machine.
WCRS’s Key Account Manager Robin Packman sent us his thanks on behalf of the group. “We all found the tour very interesting and enlightening, especially discovering what the standard street litter bins are made from. To see all the processes, designs and options available on bespoke bins to suit the customer’s needs was really useful.
I would like to say thank you for all your hospitality, both Thursday night and Friday and for the lovely clock too – I’m still smiling about that! We look forward to working closely on this project together.”
We try to minimise the amount of materials wasted in the manufacturing process, so we use all the offcuts from our steel litter bins to make freebies for our customers, such as clocks and coasters – we recently made gold coasters to celebrate our 50th anniversary!
