Another brilliant year at the Facilities Show in London!July 5, 2019
Our dedicated drivers arrived the day before the event to set up and build our exhibition stand, manufactured by us at our factory in Barnsley. This bespoke stand is designed with wooden backboards and cinema style lights, we even manufactured three leaflet dispensers to make it easier for our visitors to take information home with them.
As always, we had some great goodies on offer at the show, including our galvanised steel coasters, powder coated in gold. As well as limited edition gold chocolate bars to celebrate our 50th year in business.
We enjoyed chatting to an array of visitors over the three days, from facilities managers in hospital trusts, theatres and universities to name a few, across London and beyond.
Starting with the star of our Wybone show…We manufactured our new MLB/112 Eco Litter Bin, powder coated in gold with special 50th year laser cut artwork to each side. This bespoke design demonstrated our manufacturing capabilities, which received some great customer feedback!
This litter bin is part of our new Eco range, along with the MLB/224 Litter Bin and BWB/240 Wheelie Bin Cover. These bins have been manufactured with the environment in mind, using state of the art machinery and premium quality materials. We’re currently rolling out a large quantity of our BWB Wheelie Bin Covers across Glasgow to reduce litter and improve waste collection efficiency – read more about our work with Glasgow City Council.
The debate around disposable coffee cups has become a household recycling name since the revelation that only 1 in 400 cups are properly recycled. Cup recycling is now a widespread movement and we attracted a lot of attention on the stand with our new Box Cycle Cup Recycling Bin.
This recycling bin is manufactured with a galvanised steel lid and base and transparent polythene body. This bin functions the same way as our Eco Cup Recycling Unit, with three separate compartments for cups, lids and liquids and features internal sack retention frames to keep the waste bag in place, neatly tucked away inside the unit so that there is no unsightly overhang.
Our Box Cycle Triple was on show to give visitors a simple but visually appealing solution to internal waste and recycling. Schools, colleges and universities alike utilise these modular units to improve recycling rates and reduce waste sent to landfill.
We’ve been manufacturing glass fibre products since 1982, with a department that has over 40 years’ experience. Our LBV/20 and NR/1 always attract attention at exhibitions due to their traditional appearance yet hard-wearing design, particularly favoured by local authorities and councils. These bins are manufactured using an exclusive technique established by Wybone, whereby a wooden carcass is encapsulated with high impact strength glass fibre composite resins.
We had a great time at the three day exhibition meeting customers both new and existing – our 50th year chocolate bars went down a treat!
