Another year, another great Facilities Show!June 22, 2018
The Wybone sales team have just completed another great exhibition down at the ExCel in London. We’ve attended the Facilities Show annually since joining in 2016 and we always have a great time!
We took our custom stand – hand manufactured at our headquarters in Barnsley – and a range of our newest exciting products. It’s always difficult for us to narrow down our choices for the show, as we have enough products in our extensive range to fill the whole ExCel, but we’re pleased to say that each product received lots of positive feedback from our visitors.
Starting with the star of our Wybone show…we introduced our newly designed Airport Preparation Unit, specifically manufactured for Birmingham International Airport.
The Airport Preparation Unit is manufactured from durable galvanised steel and features four separate waste and recycling compartments. The unit can be tailored to whatever collection is required, and the sample unit at the show was built to the Birmingham Airport specification, which included mixed recycling, general waste and sharps collection.
Fitted between the waste bins is metal roller bars to hold passenger luggage whilst restricted items are disposed. Two dispenser units are also fitted to the unit for issuing clear plastic bags to passengers.
A large backboard is fitted to the unit, ideal for displaying artwork or signage to inform passengers of restricted and acceptable items. Three display units can also be accessed by the back of the unit to show a range of items. We chose to show items such as large deodorant cans, bottled drinks and other toiletries that can be disposed of in the bins provided – this is to encourage passengers not to waste time at the divestment stage and make sorting easier for airport staff. We enjoyed chatting to airport security workers on our stand and we were pleased to learn that our unit could save considerable time to airports who have to manually sort waste and recycling disposed of at the security stage of the passengers’ journey.
Our MV/35C Triple Recycling Bin has been getting lots of attention since it was introduced in to Trafford City Centre earlier this year. The largescale project saw over 300 units placed in and around the city to tackle recycling waste and we are just about to embark on another project to provide over 100 more!
Manufactured from galvanised steel, the unit features three separate compartments with a total capacity of 282 litres. The unit is fitted with internal galvanised steel liners which are secured in place with slam lock-fitted doors. We showed optional laser cut artwork and special coloured apertures that we think look great!
Our large capacity single MV/35C XL Litter Bin, built to provide a sturdy and durable on street solution, featured perforations around the full circumference of the bin and a circular ashtray to the top of the unit. We have to say, our MV/35C family of products looked great on the stand. You can spot plenty of these bins in and around Hull City Centre!
As we always try to make cost savings to offer our customers, we brought our MLB/112 Eco Litter Bin to show a budget option for on street litter. This version of our modern flagship litter bin design has fold down apertures and all the same great customisation options as our standard MLB range.
The MLB/224 Litter and Recycling Bin is a dual unit for collecting general waste and recycling. We used gold vinyl banding to show a classic option that is chosen by many councils throughout the UK.
A 10 year anti-perforation warranty protects this bin from rusting through and internal galvanised steel liners ensure trouble free operation for years to come. These bins are really built to last and offer a long lasting, durable option for streets and busy public areas.
One of our favourite wooden options, the WTS/8 Litter Bin provided the perfect accompaniment to our large scale Mega Cycle and our lovely park back drop. The 112 litre capacity bin is clad with African Iroko Hardwood and was shown with various coloured aperture plates to display the individual waste and recycling streams it can collect. A firm customer favourite, this bin always gets plenty of attention!
Our specially designed Mega Cycle is half the usual size at 660 litres. Manufactured from galvanised steel and Iroko Hardwood decorative panels to the sides, this unit features artwork to the front opening door. Originally produced for Kensington and Chelsea, these Mega Cycles have been a great success around multiple London Boroughs aiming to clean up their litter act! We offer them in a range of sizes with various colour options available.
Our Plantex Fire Extinguisher Storage Unit adds a softer touch to office décor. These purpose-designed units have a large space for up to three fire extinguishers. An internal planter liner is fitted to the top of the unit with space for 28 litres of soil and flowers or plants.
We took a unit which was powder coated in white and filled with flowers to add some life to our stand! Did you know there are numerous benefits associated with adding flowers to the workplace?
Making its first ever public outing, our new Cup Recycling Unit for Secure Environments was loved by visitors and Team Wybone! The new design, specifically manufactured for airports features a completely perforated body to ensure total visibility of the contents and allow any suspect items to be quickly removed. We may be biased, but we think that this galvanised steel cup collection unit is far superior to other plastic options.
The large capacity allows up to 100 litres to be collected and includes a liquid collection tube and a separate lid collection tube. The tube ensures each lid is stacked and maximises the capacity for collection.
Continuing with our Iroko theme, we produced our Contour Bin and Contour Bench to join us on the stand. This beautifully engineered range has proven very popular with councils, zoos and private businesses. They offer a durable but stylish option for outdoor seating and waste collection.
The Contour Litter Bin is available with a choice of colours for the metal framework and natural, light or dark oak slats. The accompanying bench can comfortably seat 3-4 people and we also have a flower planter to match.
This year at Wybone we have unveiled our newest offering for the healthcare market, an innovative and lightweight all plastic sackholder. This new range has been heavily invested in and brings a clinical and domestic waste bin to the healthcare market that has previously been unavailable. The Capsule II All Plastic Sackholder is not only ideal for medical environments, but the foot pedal and hands free operation makes it a great option for offices and homes.
Our Box Cycle Double was on show to give visitors a simple but visually appealing solution to internal waste and recycling. Schools, colleges and universities alike utilise these modular units to improve recycling rates and reduce waste sent to landfill.
As always, everything on the stand was manufactured by our talented craftsman and engineers; down to our Poseur Table & Stools Set manufactured from reclaimed hardwood and scaffolding, to our brochure stand and iPad stand.
We hope this round-up has given you an insight into the products that we brought and to our manufacturing capabilities. Don’t wait till next year if you’d like to get in touch; send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01226 744010.
We’ll be back again in 2019 from Tuesday 18 June to Thursday 20 June at stand FM5810
