We’re Heading to Aviemore: See Us at the APSE Scotland Fleet, Waste & Grounds Seminar 2025
We’re packing up the Wybone van and heading north to one of our favourite events of the year: the APSE Scotland Fleet, Waste & Grounds Seminar, taking place from Tuesday 20 to Friday 23 May at the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort. It’s the biggest local authority trade show in the Scottish calendar, and we’ll be right there in the exhibition hall, showcasing a handpicked range of bins and recycling units we know councils are already using across Scotland.
Tried, tested, and trusted across Scotland
This isn’t our first time in Aviemore, and it’s far from our first time working with Scottish councils. If you’re based in local government, there’s a good chance you’ve already seen Wybone bins on the ground. Our Mega Cycle units in Glasgow are helping drive up public recycling in high-footfall city locations, while our steel wheelie bin housings are a familiar sight across Fife, helping to keep food waste secure, tidy, and resistant to weather and vandalism. In Stirling, our APOLLO bin hubs are supporting tidy, modular street scene layouts, ideal for parks, pathways, and town centre hotspots.
We’ve worked closely with local authorities across Scotland for years, delivering bespoke signage, council colours, and tailored bin configurations that match the setting and the need. If you’ve got a bin challenge, there’s a good chance we’ve already helped solve it.
What’s on the stand this year
We’re bringing a carefully selected line-up to Aviemore, bins that are popular with councils and designed for real-life use in Scottish streets, offices, parks, and public spaces:
- BWB/240 – Our galvanised steel wheelie bin housing keeps 240-litre wheelie bins secure, tidy and weather-resistant. Ideal for town centres, communal areas, or any site prone to misuse or fly-tipping, these larger units offer a classic street bin look whilst having a huge capacity and therefore suitable for high footfall areas, and also meaning less collections thus saving time and money.
- FWWB/240 – Our flagship, industry leading, purpose-built food waste bin, designed for tight spaces and easy emptying. These are a perfect match for food waste collection points, especially in housing estates or areas trialing organics schemes.
- Box Cycle – Our sleek internal office recycling system, often used in civic buildings, schools and universities. With optional apertures, signage and compartment combinations, it’s designed to help staff and visitors recycle right, without fuss.
- Contour bin – A modern, curved-front litter and recycling bin that fits seamlessly into high streets, campuses and healthcare sites. Manufactured from hot-dipped galvanised steel for maximum durability with minimal maintenance. The doors of our contour range are made from Iroko wood, which is naturally 100% rot resistant and insect repellent.
- LBV/5 – Our classic fibreglass litter bin, often chosen by councils looking for heritage styling without compromising on strength. You’ll find these in conservation areas, village centres and green spaces all over the UK. These bins are perfect for application in the Scottish highlands as the material is completely rust proof and weather resistant, surviving the harshest conditions.
Each of these bins will be on the stand, ready to explore, open, test and discuss with our team. Whether you’re looking to roll out a new scheme or just update an old favourite, you can see the quality up.
Meet Ben – Wybone’s contact for Scottish councils
Ben Simpson, our Sales Manager for Scotland, will be manning the stand all week. Ben works directly with councils right across the country and so if you’ve got a question about pricing, installation, custom builds, or just want to talk through options, he’s the one to ask.
Already working with Ben? Come and say hello. Never met him before? You’ll find him easy to chat to, full of useful information, and happy to help with upcoming tenders or project planning. We’ve always taken pride in our personal service, and Ben’s here to make sure you get the support you need from first enquiry to long-term support.
Come and see us in Aviemore
If you’re attending the seminar, make sure to stop by our stand. It’s the perfect opportunity to see our bins in person, compare features, and talk to the people behind the products.
Want to book in a chat with Ben ahead of time? You can connect with Ben in LinkedIn, drop him an email, or give him a call, and he’ll be more than happy to set aside some time at the show to go over your project needs in detail.
We’re looking forward to another great week in Aviemore. Come along, check out the latest from Wybone, and let’s talk about how we can support your waste, recycling and street scene plans in 2025 and beyond.
