Congratulations to all the APSE Award winners!September 21, 2018
Last week, we attended the APSE Annual Seminar in Edinburgh! Our Sales Managers John and Ben had a great time at the exhibition meeting customers both old and new, and supporting local authorities at the annual service awards.
The APSE Seminar allowed us to discuss litter and recycling solutions with delegates and showcase our larger wheelie bin covers, including the BWB/240 Wheelie Bin Covers which are currently situated in Glasgow and our Food Waste Wheelie Bin Covers for South Ayrshire.
Afterwards, we attended the annual service awards which celebrate outstanding achievement and innovation within local government service delivery.
Trafford Council and Wigan Council were joint winners of the best efficiency and transformation initiative. We’ve been working with Wigan Council since 2010, supplying our MLB/112 Litter Bins. The MLB/112 is one of our flagship litter bins, manufactured from premium quality galvanised steel, offering a 10 year anti-perforation warranty. Manufactured with a large aperture to all four sides to maximise litter collection.
We’ve also been working with the Trafford Council and Amey partnership, and supplied bespoke MV/35C Triple Recycling Bins as part of their ‘recycling on the go’ campaign, designed with three separate compartments with shaped apertures to collect general waste, cans and plastic bottles and paper and card. Take a look at our product video for the MV/35C Triple!
The winner of the best service team in street cleansing and streetscene service was Eastleigh Borough Council – our National Sales Manager John has worked with the council for several years, so we were happy to see them triumph in a category that we have been able to support.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council were the winners of the best service team: parks ground and horticultural services. Another council who favour our MLB/112 Litter Bins, with laser cut lettering to display the Stockton logo in gold.
The big winner of the night was Cheshire West and Chester Council, who won the APSE overall council of the year! We’ve been working with the council since 2012 and have supplied a range of our products.
Our MLB range is the preferred choice for the council, including the MLB/224R which has two separate compartments to collect both on-street litter and recycling. They have previously favoured the BMB2/40 Litter Bin, our budget price galvanised steel litter bin with two large apertures and a 112 litre capacity.
