From Barnsley to Basingstoke…

March 3, 2017

Our demo van toured the country this week, along with our sales reps Carly, Mark and Debbie – showcasing the best of our litter, recycling and clinical waste products.

We started our journey in Wales, and travelled down to Glamorgan in Cardiff where we launched our partnership with Keep Wales Tidy. The partnership agreement will see Wybone supporting the charity by sponsoring local awards and encouraging positive activities to improve the environment. In addition, we’ll be working closely with the charity to offer a wide variety of litter and recycling bins at preferential prices, which will include a percentage of sales going directly back into the charity.

We made a quick stop in the afternoon to Torfaen County Borough Council and Aneurin Bevan Health Board; we were then bound for the east coast!

We made an early trip down to Eastbourne, and met with the East Sussex Healthcare Trust where we pushed our healthcare range. We showcased several products from our range of sackholders, including our Hybrid Sackholder that comes with a metal lid and plastic foot unit. By combining metal and polythene, the clinical waste bins are fire-retardant but also rust free.

We also met with the catering staff at the University of Sussex in the afternoon, discussing ways that we could help reduce their food waste.

The Wybone demo van was on the move again, this time we visited Bournemouth Borough Council and discussed the possibility of bins for their parks and streets. We have a range of products to suit both areas; our MLB/112 Steel Litter Bin is one of our most popular litterbins for high streets and busy cities.

Our WTS/8 Litter Bin is perfect for parks and gardens; manufactured from Iroko Hardwood, this material is incredibly stain resistant and an excellent choice for woodland areas. Our last stop of the day was Poole Hospital to review their clinical waste bins; all of which come in a choice of waste segregation colours.

The last day of the tour saw us visit numerous councils including New Forest Council in Lymington, and Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council. We ended the week at Chiltern Council in Amersham, and then we headed back up to Wybone headquarters here in Barnsley.
