The Lucky Pup at Cannon Hall gets some Wybone TLC

June 29, 2018

We’ve worked with Cannon Hall again to help with the introduction of their newest area, the dog friendly café, The Lucky Pup.

After our recent work refurbishing their beloved cows, Cannon Hall approached us again to help with a new project, fitting out their dog walkers’ café. Initially we were asked to work alongside their carpenters to manufacture steel works to be both a functional and stylish addition to the exposed Green Oak beams.

Working with such a natural product can involve intricate and precise work, requiring us to model the entire building digitally to be able to manufacture the bespoke steel work to be used in the beams.

Rob Hampshire, Joiner from Cannon Hall commented on the work that was required; “Wybone provided the skilled service that we required for this very intricate job. Not only did they give us a quick turnaround but when we faced challenges due to the nature of the wood, they were able to quickly adapt their design with us to get the fit we needed.”

Once the beams were in place, the Farm looked to implement industrial-style chandeliers to finish the look. Again, we designed these as bespoke items and manufactured all the steel works required. The two chandeliers were fitted in place with chain hanging light bulbs and have had lots of attention! Staff and customers alike have given positive feedback about the great look of the chandeliers.

Finally, we added some finishing touches with a large, laser cut metal plate to be fitted to the front of the till / reception area. This galvanised steel plate features a cut out dog silhouette and we think it looks great, even if we do say so ourselves!

We’re pleased to be continuing our working relationship with Cannon Hall again with our current project to help repair a number of vandalised parking metres.
