Wybone MD is Gentleman for Prostate Cancer Research…

September 25, 2014

Wybone’s Managing Director Richard Cooper is taking part in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride on Sunday 28 September.

The ride is a ‘celebration of the art of being dapper and the style of classic custom motorcycles’ all in aid of Prostate Cancer Research.

Richard and the team of riders will begin their journey at Steam Yard Coffee, Sheffield departing at 11:30 am riding out to Holmfirth and then following the 2014 Tour De France route back to Sheffield.

The ride, which was founded in 2012, has grown annually, beginning with 2,500 riders across 64 cities. Last year saw over 11,000 riders taking part across 145 cities and raising $277,000 for Prostate Cancer Research. This year over 20,000 riders are expected to take part across 220 cities with an aim to raise $1 million and spread awareness of Prostate Cancer.

With only four days to go, England’s fundraising goal of £611,072 is currently at £543,865 and all at Wybone want to do what they can to reach the goal and help find a cure for Prostate Cancer!

You can sponsor our dapper director Richard here.

A word from Richard, “over 1,300 men a day die of prostate cancer worldwide. And that’s just not cricket. Your donation will help The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride reach its goal of $US1 million to fund research into a cure for a disease that claims far too many gentlemen each and every year. So be a sport and sponsor my ride — thank you ever so much!”
