At Wybone, we’ve been designing and manufacturing litter and recycling bins since 1969 – we believe we know a thing or two about the waste market – and we’ve done extensive research into a smart solution to perfectly complement our range. We’re pleased to announce that we’re joining the Mr. Fill family and we couldn’t be happier to share this great new product with our customers.
Mr. Fill manufactures a smart sensor solution that offers a laser scanning functionality to record meaningful waste statistics and promising to cut waste and Co2 emissions through efficiency savings. Manufactured using tough and high quality materials, these sensors offer a substantial battery life and can last from 5 to 10 years with every day usage.
This new partnership will allow us to become the UK’s first and sole distributor of this exciting new technology, all encompassed within a small, IP66 rated waterproof unit.
Mr. Fill already has a strong European presence, with representation in most major cities, including Brussels, Hamburg and Amsterdam. A recent case study showed that an implementation of their compactor and sensor bins on a busy Amsterdam street, resulted in an annual saving of €600,000.
Managing Director of Wybone, Richard Cooper commented on this new partnership; “we’re excited to be introducing Mr. Fill to our customers in order to bring new products to our range. We believe we are introducing a cost effective solution that will provide efficiency savings to councils who are looking to gain useful statistics without having to spend the investment to implement our full compacting solution.”

Adjustable distance measurement
The sensor’s distance measurement
ranges from 0-400cm – this can be
easily adjusted to give accurate
results that best suit the unit.
The sensor is fitted with GPS (Global
Positioning System) that tracks
the location of the compactor
which makes emptying easier for
operatives. It works in all weather
conditions, 24 hours a day.
The sensor works through LTE-M NBIOT
programming and communicates
with the Smart City Manager platform
which is used for Mr. Fill – no additional
applications are required.
Mr Fill’s sensor is IP66 rated
waterproof, which means it’s
protected even from extreme
weather conditions with
no harmful effects, and no
remaining water ingress.
The data collected by the smart
sensor is collated every 10 minutes,
which provides accurate data results
saved onto one platform.
Wide Temperature Range
The smart sensor can be fitted to
most bins in any location as it can
withstand extreme temperatures
from -60° to 80°.
The sensor works through laser
technology that scans every
item that is deposited into the
