About the WTS/2W Circular Timber Slatted Litter Bin

The WTS/2W Timber Slatted Litter Bin

Our WTS/2W Timber Slatted Litter Bin perfectly demonstrates why wood is a great choice for an outdoor bin.

Found in Africa, iroko hardwood is an exotic and eye-catching material that makes our WTS range so special. This wooden bin provides a subtle, sophisticated look that compliments any modern or historic park or town.

The frame of the bin is manufactured from hot-dipped galvanised material, so you don’t have to worry about corrosion or rust impacting your unit. The iroko wood that gives this bin its unique look is also super durable.

This 56-litre wooden bin offers a generous capacity that’s perfect in open parks, narrow pathways or areas with little space.

This wooden Wybone bin comes with a pre-drilled base and a galvanised steel internal liner with exterior handles so you can install and empty the bin with ease. Its circular open aperture makes waste disposal nice and easy, too.

Please note: As this bin is made of wood, we recommend inspecting your unit every 6 months, or more if it is placed in busy areas.

Are wooden bins good?

The answer is yes. Not only do they look good, but they provide plenty of benefits. After all, there’s a reason they’re one of our most popular products.

  1. Wooden bins last a long time

Many wood types have sturdy, durable attributes. And the iroko hardwood we use for our WTS/8 bins is no exception. If you’re looking for a bin that’ll serve you and your local area for a long time, they’ve got you covered.

2. Wooden bins are eco-friendly

Wood is a 100% renewable resource. The wood from a bin that’s beyond repair can also be recycled – something that’s great for the environment and more important than ever.

Beyond that, Iroko wood offers a beautiful, sleek finish that’s compatible with historic and modern areas, making it a great material for outdoor bins and park benches.

  • How do you maintain Iroko wood?

When it comes to Iroko wood, we recommend cleaning it every 6 months to maintain its beautiful, sleek finish. However, you can clean it on a more regular basis if you wish. Be careful not to use a high-pressure wash as this can damage the wood fibres. Instead, use a soft, moist cloth (where possible) and scrub gently.

  • Is Iroko wood rot-proof?

Along with its strong and robust design, Iroko wood is rot-proof. It’s safe to say insects leave this wood well alone.
