What is this hands free recycling bin manufactured from?
This recycling bin is manufactured from a combination of polythene and metal, with an impact and corrosion resistant plastisol (plastic coated steel) body. By combining metal and polythene, these recycling bins are fire-retardant but also rust free. A transparent Lexan body is also available on this unit, this makes the waste stream visible to aid with recycling and prevent suspect items from being deposited.
How are these recycling bins operated?
A long foot-push bar at the base of the unit spans the full width of the bin, which means it can be easily accessed from any angle and the lid doesn’t need to be opened by hand. The hands free frame ensures the frame cannot be lifted unless the foot pedal is pressed, reducing the spread of infection.
What colour does this recycling bin come in?
These hybrid recycling bins are available in any of our standard powder coating colours and come with a white, mushroom, silver or transparent body. We think these bins look great as an all-white unit, although a coloured lid can help to emphasise your chosen waste stream.
How is this recycling bin emptied?
A specially designed frame holds the waste bag in place and stops it from falling inside the bin when waste is deposited. When emptying, simply press the foot pedal to open the lid, lift the frame and remove the bag. Push the new bag into the body and lower the frame to secure it in place.
This lightweight plastic recycling bin has been designed with a leak proof tray that will catch any spills or liquids should the waste bag split. Where should I put this recycling bin?
These recycling bins are manufactured from a combination of polythene and metal, so they’re both tough and durable; we’re so confident in our bins that we provide a one year parts and labour guarantee and a 10 year anti perforation warranty. Available in a range of sizes, they are suitable for all environments. Integrated castors are fitted to the base of the unit for manoeuvrability; this allows this recycling bin to be easily moved to where it is needed the most.
The smallest unit is 28 litres and offers a slim design for use in small spaces and areas with a low volume of waste. These smaller units look great grouped together to form an attractive recycling station.
The mid-sized 42 litre unit is a wider shape with a lower height – the perfect size for placing under desks or in toilet areas. If you’re looking to collect a higher volume of waste, the 80 litre capacity is ideal for busy offices or kitchens and areas where it may be difficult to empty on a regular basis.
What optional extras are available with this recycling bin?
A gas strut can be fitted to this recycling bin at an extra cost, which allows the lid to close softly and quietly to minimise noise – we definitely recommend adding gas struts to these recycling bins, especially if they are to be used in an office or in the home.
A choice of A4 vinyl artwork can be added to the front of the unit to help depict your desired waste stream and encourage recycling.

We estimate that this item will be with you within 3 weeks from receipt of payment. Large quantity orders may be subject to an extended lead time during busy periods.
