LBV/XAT Hexagonal Pedestal Cigarette End BinProduct Code: LBV/XAT/WEB
The LBV/XAT is a hexagon shaped, free standing cigarette bin, designed with durability in mind to keep areas clean and tidy of cigarette ends.
How is this cigarette bin manufactured?
This cigarette bin is manufactured from glass fibre composite; using a technique exclusively developed by Wybone, where a wooden carcass is sprayed with fire retardant glass fibre polyester resins to produce a hardwearing unit that will never rust. GFC products offer substantial fire protection, conforming to BS 476 Part 7 and Part 6, fire rated at Class 1/0 Building Regulations. GFC also has a small carbon footprint due to the longevity of the product.
What’s included with this cigarette bin?
As the LBV/XAT is made from glass fibre, this means it comes with a choice of finishes and colours. Our standard finish is a PTX textured paint that gives a rough ‘sandpaper’ like textured finish, designed to prevent unwanted graffiti and posters being applied.
You could opt for a smoother pseudo-cast iron finish with only a slight texture and no roughness, or a Victoriana finish, which is the smoother option with only a slight texture and no roughness, with the addition of highlighted beading in gold or silver as standard.
This bin comes with a ‘Cigarette Ends’ perspex plate and a flat ashtray that sits flush within the bin as standard. It’s also available with an optional raised pyramid ashtray if preferred, which is designed with a larger stubber section.
Where should I put this cigarette bin?
The glass fibre manufacture makes this cigarette bin ideal for roadside locations and seaside towns as it’s unaffected by extreme weather conditions and salt water. The Victoriana finish gives a traditional look, which is perfect for heritage sites and town centres.
How do I empty this cigarette bin?
The ashtray on this cigarette bin is secured with a push lock. Simply insert the key into the lock and turn, this releases the catch and allows the ashtray top to be removed and the internal liner emptied. Once the cigarette butts are removed, return the liner and ashtray, and simply push the lock back into the unit.
How do I install this cigarette bin?
The LBV/XAT is designed with pre-drilled holes for ground fixing. The holes are manufactured in the hexagon base and can be ground fixed using RAWL bolts. These bolts are inserted into the ground where the bin is due to be installed; the bolts are then screwed on inside the unit. Unlike a permanent ground fixing, RAWL bolts allow street furniture to be moved easily.
