The ‘Apollo’ wheelie bin housing lets you place your wheelie bins out of sight while still allowing the public to dispose of large quantities of waste. These aesthetic bin housings provide cover for unappealing large wheelie bins, and their interchangeable apertures allow for a variety of different waste to be collected. This brand new 2025 design means multiple units can stack together to make a bin hub for all your large wheelie bins.
They are weather proof, rust proof, and our optional wooden panels are made from FSC certified Iroko wood from Africa, meaning they’re completely rot resistant. The Large Apollo Wheelie Bin Housing
In a busy, public space, the last thing you want is visitors and locals seeing dirty wheelie bins, or even wheelie bins in general. The honest truth is that it can change how people feel about your area. But perhaps you already knew this.
So how can you overcome it?
The Wybone ‘Apollo’ wheelie bin housings are a haven for placing wheelie bins out of sight while still being able to dispose of large quantities of waste. This large unit comes in 240, 360 and 1280 litre sizes. The 1280 litre unit is designed to hold both a 1,280 litre bin and an 1,100 litre bin. With the optional buffer bars, the 1280 litre can also be adapted to hold 500, 660 and 770 litre capacity wheelie bins too.
This new 2025 design is built from a steel frame, available with steel front panels or Iroko hardwood which gives a modern look that’s supported by excellent durability. We also offer custom artwork on the front of the bins, such as what we’ve done for Glasgow council with images of their city’s famous landmarks, making the apollo more easy on the eye and matching its surroundings.
The Apollo is designed with interchangeable apertures, meaning it can be custom made to suit local authority and council legislation which is different across different regions. For example, one customer may wish to have all general waste open opertures, and another one general waste, one recycling and one for glass. The interchangeable apertures all future-proof the product, and if/when regulation changes instead of replacing the bins you can just use new apertures to match the new waste stream legislation.
This is a tough unit featuring a reinforced front opening steel door. It’s not easy to find a wheelie bin with a lock, but the Apollo series has the choice of a self-locking slam-lock mechanism or a bolt lock so you don’t have to worry about vandals or critters trying to gain entry.

Nobody likes seeing dirty, overflowing wheelie bins that give off an unpleasant stench. Perhaps your wheelie bins don’t have this problem, but it still doesn’t hurt to place them out of sight while still letting the public know there’s an option for them to throw away their rubbish.

Our Galvanised steel products feature a 12 year anti-perforation warranty as standard. This guarantees the surface of our products from rusting through completely.
We manufacture all of our products from scratch at our factory in South Yorkshire. Each item is handcrafted to the highest specification, with lots of Wybone TLC.
We estimate that this item will be with you within TBC from receipt of payment. Large quantity orders may be subject to an extended lead time during busy periods.
Orders placed before 1PM are processed the same working day, otherwise they are processed the next working day.
The Mega Cycle Bin Cover is manufactured from durable galvanised steel with a reinforced twin hinged front opening steel door using stainless steel ball bearing hinges, with a self locking mechanism. This stylish cover features a curved lid, designed to allow rainwater to run off.
Part of the Omega range, the Large Mega Cycle Bin Cover features the tubular steel frame that runs throughout this suite of products.
This galvanised steel wheelie bin cover can be manufactured specifically to fit either a 660, 1100 or 1200 litre wheelie bin. We also do bespoke sizing so if you have different requirements, feel free to send us your specification and we can work around you!
This easy to use unit comes with a T shaped universal key that gives access to the front opening door and allows the wheelie bin to be easily pulled out for emptying. Once the bin has been emptied, the wheelie bin can simply be pushed back into the unit with the lid open and a gentle push on the door will lock it in place.
Optional large, bright, vinyl WRAP artwork to the front of the unit denotes your chosen waste stream and creates an eye-catching look. Your unit can also be powder coated in any of our standard steel powder coating colours.
Choose from steel side panels or Iroko hardwood side panels as shown, to give a modern contemporary look.
Adjustable feet allow for levelling on any surface.
