LBV/17 Closed Top Litter Bin

This litter bin is manufactured from glass fibre composite (GFC), which is ideally suited for street furniture due to its strength and durability. It’s completely unaffected by extreme weather conditions and salt water, which allows the bin to be placed in a coastal or roadside location and remain intact for years.

Our glass fibre litter bins have substantial durability; some of our units have been in situ for the best part of two decades. GFC products offer substantial fire protection, conforming to BS 476 Part 7 and Part 6, fire rated at Class 1/0 Building Regulations. GFC has a low carbon footprint due to the longevity of the product.

As with all of our glass fibre units, this bin comes with a standard 1 year parts and labour guarantee and a 10 year anti-perforation warranty, this guarantees the surface of our products from rusting through completely. You can read the benefits of GFC here.

The LBV/17 features a slam lock as standard, Simply unlock the front opening door using the inclusive universal key and pull out the internal L17 Galvanised Steel Liner, this has two handles to the exterior to make emptying an easier task.

Four large angled apertures maximise the 112 litre capacity, allowing regular use before the bin needs to be emptied.

As this bin is manufactured from glass fibre composite, it comes with a choice of finishes. Our standard finish is a PTX textured paint that gives a rough ‘sandpaper’ like textured finish, designed to prevent unwanted graffiti and posters being applied.

You could opt for a smoother pseudo-cast iron finish with only a slight texture and no roughness, or a Victoriana finish, which is the smoother option with only a slight texture and no roughness, with the addition of highlighted beading as standard.

This bin has a pre-drilled base for ground fixing; we recommend using RAWL bolts but other fixing options are available – see them all here.

As this unit is unaffected by adverse weather conditions, it can be placed in coastal seaside towns and in busy city centres as it will remain unaffected for years to come. The Victoriana finish gives a traditional look, which is perfect for heritage sites and town centres.

We tailor all of our products and services to meet your requirements; the LBV/20 is available with a choice of standard WRAP recycling iconography fitted as a perspex plate. If you would prefer, our team of in-house designers can create unique perspex plates to suit your company. Our most popular colour is black, but this bin can be powder coated in any of our standard glass fibre composite colours.

The peak capped lid is available with an optional ashtray top to ensure areas where smoking is permitted can be kept clean and tidy of cigarette ends, If you opt for an ashtray top, a stubber plate can also be fitted for stubbing out cigarettes and preventing unsightly marks on bins.

We even have solutions to animals getting inside your litter bin; a raised liner allows room underneath the bin for a rat baiting box. We also have bird flaps to help prevent birds and squirrels from getting inside the bin.
