What is this litter bin manufactured from?
This litter bin is manufactured from glass fibre composite (GFC), which is ideally suited for street furniture due to its strength and durability. Did you know that all of our GFC products are made from 65% renewable resources?
What are the advantages of glass fibre composite?
This material is completely unaffected by extreme weather conditions and salt water, which allows the bin to be placed in a coastal or roadside location and remain intact for years. GFC products offer substantial fire protection, conforming to BS 476 Part 7 and Part 6, fire rated at Class 1/0 Building Regulations. It also has a low carbon footprint due to the longevity of the product; some of our glass fibre composite units have been in situ for the best part of two decades.
What is the capacity of this litter bin?
The LBV/5 has a 154 litre capacity, with a wide aperture to the front and back, which maximises litter collection. The slimline design and large capacity is ideal for busy towns and walkways, and environments where it may be difficult to empty on a regular basis.
What sort of finish can I have on this litter bin?
As this bin is manufactured from glass fibre composite, it comes with a choice of finishes. Our standard finish is a PTX textured paint that gives a rough ‘sandpaper’ like textured finish, designed to prevent unwanted graffiti and posters being applied.
You could opt for a smoother pseudo-cast iron finish with only a slight texture and no roughness, or a Victoriana finish, which is the smoother option with only a slight texture and no roughness, with the addition of highlighted beading as standard. Does this litter bin come with any warranties?
As with all Wybone products, the LBV/5 litter bin comes with a one year parts and labour guarantee. Our team performed a ‘hammer test’ on our glass fibre litter bins to demonstrate their strength and durability.
How do I install this litter bin?
This litter bin comes with four pre-drilled holes at the base for ground fixing; we recommend using RAWL bolts which can be placed in the holes and tightened. However, we do have other fixing options available.
How do I empty this litter bin?
The front opening door can be opened using our T-shaped budget key. Two L10 galvanised steel liners with handles on both sides are lighter to lift and empty, rather than one large and wide liner. Once the liners have been emptied and replaced, simply close the door and lock it back it place. A slam lock can also be fitted at an additional cost to allow the door to lock automatically.
How can I stop animals from getting inside this litter bin?
A raised liner can be installed to fit a rat baiting box, holes are then drilled to each side so rats can gain access. The baiting boxes are sold separately and not included in the price of the modification. Bird flaps can be fitted to the apertures to prevent birds and squirrels getting inside the litter bin.

We manufacture all of our products from scratch at our factory in South Yorkshire. Each item is handcrafted to the highest specification, with lots of Wybone TLC. We estimate that this item will be with you within TBC from receipt of payment. Large quantity orders may be subject to an extended lead time during busy periods.
Orders placed before 1PM are processed the same working day, otherwise they are processed the next working day.
