The Torpedo Double Internal Security Recycling Bin is a secure two compartment recycling bin, designed to prevent suspect items from being deposited.
What is this bin manufactured from?
This bin is manufactured from durable galvanised steel, primed and powder coated in your choice of RAL colour with transparent polycarbonate panels on the front opening doors.
This unit has a 120 litre capacity with two separate compartments to collect your chosen waste stream, with WRAP/Recycle Now branding to the aperture fascia plates. The magnetic catch double doors make this bin easy to open and quick to empty with a sloped lid that prevents any litter being left on top of the unit.
How does a transparent bin help with waste collection?
Transparent units help to prevent cross contamination of waste, as people using the bin can immediately see what waste is being collected.
What makes this bin secure?
The transparent polycarbonate panels make the contents of the bin visible, allowing any suspect packages to be easily identified and immediately removed. The 2mm hot dipped galvanised steel ensures a secure manufacture and makes the bin difficult to damage.
Does this bin come with any warranties?
As with all of our galvanised steel litter bins, this Torpedo bin comes with a standard 1 year parts and labour guarantee and a 10 year anti-perforation warranty, this guarantees the surface of our products from rusting through completely. You can read the benefits of galvanised steel here.
Where should I put this bin?
The Torpedo Double Internal Security Recycling Bin is best suited for security sensitive environments such as airports, shopping centres and museums, ideal for areas where safety and security is paramount.
How do I empty this bin?
Simply unlock one side of the front opening doors using the thin Torpedo Key; the other side can be opened by releasing the door from the magnetic catch. Both internal L4 Galvanised Steel Liners can be easily pulled out using the handle to the exterior, this makes emptying an easier task. This bin is fitted with a hinged self-locking door, so you don’t have to worry about locking the unit once you have finished emptying.
Can this security bin be customised?
This internal security bin is available with your choice of waste stream, which comes as standard with WRAP/Recycle Now branding to the aperture fascia plates and optional A4 vinyl stickers to the front of the unit. However, if you are looking to personalise your recycling bin with logos or artwork, we do offer a full in-house bespoke design service.
Our most popular colour is silver, which has a subtle sparkle that adds a light and bright look to internal areas, but this bin can be powder coated in any of our standard steel powder coating colours.
This bin comes with a choice of optional extras such as lift up aperture flaps; these provide better fire protection and help to keep smells inside the unit, ideal for the collection of food waste. Castors can also be fitted onto the internal liners to make manoeuvring waste both easy and convenient.

We manufacture all of our products from scratch at our factory in South Yorkshire. Each item is handcrafted to the highest specification, with lots of Wybone TLC. We estimate that this item will be with you within TBC from receipt of payment. Large quantity orders may be subject to an extended lead time during busy periods.
Orders placed before 1PM are processed the same working day, otherwise they are processed the next working day.
