WBC Wheelie Bin Cover

The WBC is manufactured from durable glass fibre composite (GFC), which is ideally suited for street furniture due to its strength and durability. The wooden core is encapsulated using fire retardant glass fibre polyester resins. Did you know that all of our GFC products are made from 65% renewable resources?

This material offers substantial fire protection, conforming to BS 476 Part 7 and Part 6, fire rated at Class 1/0 Building Regulations. Glass fibre is completely unaffected by extreme weather conditions and salt water, which allows the bin to be placed in a coastal or roadside location and remain intact for years. It also has a low carbon footprint due to the longevity of the product; some of our glass fibre composite units have been in situ for the best part of two decades.

This wheelie bin cover can house a range of wheelie bin sizes, from 120 to 360 litres. Large apertures to each side maximise litter collection. You can choose from standard general waste apertures or recycling apertures to collect a range of items.

As glass fibre material doesn’t rust, it can be placed in coastal or roadside locations and remain intact for years. The larger capacity units are ideal for environments where it may not be easy to empty on a regular basis.

As this bin is manufactured from glass fibre composite, it comes with a choice of finishes. Our standard finish is a PTX textured paint that gives a rough ‘sandpaper’ like textured finish, designed to prevent unwanted graffiti and posters being applied.

You could opt for a smoother pseudo-cast iron finish with only a slight texture and no roughness, or a Victoriana finish, which is the smoother option with only a slight texture and no roughness, with the addition of highlighted beading as standard. This wheelie bin cover comes with four pre-drilled holes for ground fixing – we recommend using RAWL bolts but other fixing options are available.

This unit comes with a T shaped universal key that gives access to the front opening door and allows the wheelie bin to be easily pulled out for emptying. Once the bin has been emptied, the wheelie bin can simply be pushed back into the unit with the lid open and a gentle push on the door will lock it in place.

This wheelie bin cover is available with your choice of waste stream apertures and optional perspex artwork.
