WDB/112 Large Capacity Dog Waste Bin with ChuteProduct Code: WDB/112/WEB
The WDB/112 Dog Waste Bin is a large capacity dog waste collection unit with an internal chute system to ensure the waste is deposited correctly.
What is this bin manufactured from?
This dog waste bin is manufactured from glass fibre composite (GFC) which is ideally suited for street furniture due to its strength and durability.
We’ve been manufacturing glass fibre products since 1982, using a technique exclusively developed by Wybone whereby a core material is encapsulated using fire retardant glass fibre polyester resins.
A wooden carcass is built from scratch and then carefully sprayed with glass fibre composite resins to form a hardwearing bin. These are then hand-painted and beautifully finished by our skilled team – some of which have worked in this department for over 40 years! Watch the full video to see how our glass fibre bins are made.
What are the advantages of GFC?
Glass fibre composite is completely unaffected by extreme weather conditions and salt water, which allows the bin to be placed outdoors, including in coastal or roadside locations and remain intact for years.
Our glass fibre litter bins have substantial durability; some of our units have been in situ for the best part of two decades. GFC products offer substantial fire protection, conforming to BS 476 Part 7 and Part 6, fire rated at Class 1/0 Building Regulations. GFC has a low carbon footprint due to the longevity of the product.
Does this bin come with any warranties?
As with all Wybone products, this bin comes with a 1 year parts and labour guarantee as standard.
What sort of finish can I have this bin?
As this bin is manufactured from glass fibre composite, it comes with a choice of finishes. Our standard finish is a PTX textured paint that gives a rough ‘sandpaper’ like textured finish, designed to prevent unwanted graffiti and posters being applied.
You could opt for a smoother pseudo-cast iron finish with only a slight texture and no roughness, or a Victoriana finish, which is the smoother option with only a slight texture and no roughness, with the addition of highlighted beading as standard.
Where should I put this bin?
The WDB/112 is ideal for busy dog walking areas and looks at home in parks and open spaces. If you opt for a Victoriana finish, this gives the bin a traditional look which is perfect for heritage sites and town centres.
How do I install this bin?
This dog waste bin has pre-drilled holes for ground fixing – we recommend using RAWL bolts to fix the bin into the ground but other fixing options are available.
How do I empty this bin?
The WDB/112 features a budget lock as standard, simply unlock the front opening door using the universal key. This bin comes with an L9 Galvanised Steel Liner as standard, however a polythene liner is also available. Once the liner is emptied, simply close and lock the door using the key.
Can I customise this bin?
This dog waste bin has a few optional extras available, including a dog lead hook which allows the user to secure their dog lead whilst disposing of their waste. A slam lock can also be fitted to replace the budget lock, this automatically locks when the door is closed.
Here at Wybone, we have a full in-house design team who are more than happy to discuss bespoke requests – our team can create bespoke perspex plates to be fitted onto the bin, whether it’s your own logo or recycling artwork.
When it comes to colours, our most popular colour is black but this bin can be powder coated in any of our standard glass fibre composite colours.
