Starting the new year with charitable givingMarch 6, 2019
We love supporting charities and seeing how we can make a difference in our local community; whether it’s holding a charity fundraiser or donating one of our bins to a worthy cause.
We’ve sponsored Circus Starr for the past five years and we couldn’t happier to be supporting them once again!
Circus Starr is a world class, touring circus, featuring acrobats, dancers and entertainers from around the world. The charity circus provides new opportunities for vulnerable, sick or disabled children and their families to enjoy the spectacle of live performance.
The money we donate goes towards providing tickets for children and their families to go and experience the magic of circus on our behalf.
The tour is bigger and better than ever, held three times a year across 75 venues, offering pre-show touch tours and audio-described performances for blind and partially sighted children.
At the start of the new year, we were contacted by Butterwick Hospice Care in Stockton-On-Tees, who told us about their unfortunate loss of funding and a requirement for bins in their building.
We couldn’t possibly leave them without any clinical waste bins, so we were more than happy to help – our Sales Manager Ben donated some of our sackholders to keep the hospice going!
Butterwick Hospice couldn’t be more grateful for our good gesture, which will be featured in their next brochure at the start of May.
As well as supporting national charities and organisations, we like to keep our charity work close to home too. We were in touch with Rockingham Colliery Cricket Club who are based just up the road from us at Hoyland Common.
Rockingham CCC are a self-financed, community club who run both junior and senior cricket teams. We’re supporting the club in their new season with a match ball sponsorship. Keep your eyes peeled for the Wybone logo making an appearance in their new season!
The Circus Starr spring tour starts in April and will be across the country until June, for tickets and more information on the charity, visit their website.
