We’re a recognised supplier to universities in the North West

September 9, 2019

We’ve recently been awarded a place on the North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium, on the framework for Recycling Bins & Street Furniture.

This collaborative procurement service allows universities in the North West to order from recognised suppliers, in areas such as catering, cleaning and recycling.

We will be manufacturing and supplying a range of both internal and external recycling bins to improve sustainability and keep universities clean.

As an internal solution, our Box Cycle Range can be manufactured from vacuum formed plastic or durable galvanised steel. These recycling bins are simple yet stylish and can collect one or more waste streams, with clear bodies as standard. The transparent bodies offer a number of benefits, including making the waste streams visible therefore encouraging the correct use, highlighting any miscellaneous objects that could pose a security risk and giving a visual cue as to when the bin needs to be emptied.

The framework also requires our external MLB/224 with recycling apertures, as well as a larger 336 litre capacity for busy areas. These are heavy duty litter bins, with two separate compartments to collect both litter and recycling.

Our flagship cut-corner MLB Range is manufactured from galvanised steel, primed and powder coated to offer excellent corrosion resistance. This bin is designed to offer a premium metallic option with a bulkier feel for modern environments and will fit in perfectly into university campuses. Take a look at how these metal bins are made in our production video.

As well as litter and recycling bins, we are supplying street furniture on the NWUPC Framework, including our HWP/5, HWB/5 and VMP/6 benches and picnic tables. The HWP/5 is manufactured with a galvanised steel box section and clad with Iroko hardwood slats. This range of steel and wooden furniture will be available on the framework to create outdoor seating areas that are more attractive to both staff and students.
