We’re attending the Waste World Cup again!

August 29, 2018

A year has flown by since we took part in the Waste World Cup and our team are raring to go for another year.

The Waste World Cup is in conjunction Waste Aid UK, a non-profit independent charity that was set up by waste management professionals to support waste disposal and clean-up initiatives for communities in low-income countries.

As well as taking part in the competition over the past few years, we worked with Waste Aid’s CEO Mike Webster back in June and donated six litter pickers to help their 25 km walk across London, litter picking as they go. Read more about our work with Waste Aid UK.

The Wybone team will consist of players from all departments, including manufacturing, dispatch and sales with our dedicated Team Manager Keith ‘Frankie’ Gill leading the way. The whole team are looking forward to the games which will take place on Friday 31 August from 10am at the new location, Brackley Leisure Centre.

Our competition includes the usual suspects Biffa, William Tracey and waste management service B&M who triumphed at last year’s tournament.

We were runners up in the mini plate tournament and semi-finalists in the main competition but we’re determined to take the title this year. Check out the highlights from last year’s competition!
