West Hertfordshire Hospital NHS Trust choose Wybone Capsule sackholders

June 15, 2015

Watford General Hospital had a requirement of plastic sackholders for their maternity ward and Wybone had the perfect solution! The hospital wanted plastic clinical waste bins to be used on their wards, but did not want the bungee cord that is often used to hold the bag in place.

Wybone manufactured 176 bins in three sizes; 20, 42 and 80 litres, in a range of colours for varying waste streams. The units were fitted with soft closing lids to ensure the quietest possible maternity wards and all bins were sited in place at the hospital by Wybone staff.

Kevin Howell, Director of Facilities and Estates at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust was kind enough to share his positive feedback:

“It has been brought to my attention the substantial work [Wybone] went through to ensure the successful delivery of the equipment for the project.

In your case, through negotiations with our Procurement Department, you executed the manufacture speedily and delivered early knowing the concerns and time constraints that we had and we thank you for this.

I have been made aware of the extra mile that your company have gone to, to enable us to fulfil our requirements for a correctly stocked unit to be opened in what was a substantially reduced timetable of commissioning.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank your staff and your company for your assistance and for going that extra mile.”

Our range of clinical bins utilise a smart sackholding frame which secures the bag in place, making them easy to empty and providing maximum protection against the spread of bacteria.
