We’ve worked with Lisburn and Castlereagh Council to reduce litter in Northern Ireland

We’ve recently won the tender to supply litter bins, both free standing and post mountable to Lisburn and Castlereagh Council – a joint district in Northern Ireland.

Based on their specific requirements, we presented the MLB/112 Litter Bin, in our traditional black and gold design with ‘LITTER’ text and a stubber plate fitted to the lid to prevent cigarettes being stubbed out on the bin.

This litter bin met the tender requirements and we were awarded the contract! As a result, the council ordered 118 units to be sited in the City of Lisburn and Borough of Castlereagh.

The MLB/112 is our flagship cut corner litter bin, manufactured from premium quality galvanised steel, primed and powder coated to offer maximum corrosion resistance. A large aperture to each side maximises the 112 litre capacity, with internal litter deflectors to ensure waste goes inside the liner. This steel litter bin offers a 10 year anti perforation warranty and a 1 year parts and labour guarantee.

The council also opted for our WSP/D Post Mountable Closed Top Bin, manufactured from galvanised steel with a semi-open aperture to collect 42 litres of waste – ideal for busy walkways and dog walking areas. This was required in the same black and gold design, with the addition of a Tidyman logo applied to the front.

We’ve supplied litter bins to Lisburn and Castlereagh Council for many years and have successfully won the tender for the past two years – we hope these new litter bins help to reduce litter in the two cities of Northern Ireland.
