Wybone 5th Annual Golf Day: a swinging success!July 28, 2015
The Wybone Annual Golf Day took place on Thursday 23 July at Sandhill Golf Club, welcoming customers all the way from South Lanarkshire to Havant.
We began the day with bacon sandwiches in the clubhouse where the teams were able to get to know each other and take a look at the prizes on offer. Over £200 cash was up for grabs, along with a great range of Nike accessories, Titleist tour bag, Puma golf shoes, clothing and much more. There was even a Skoda car ready to be presented to anyone who could get a hole-in-one on the third hole!
The first team teed off at 9:00am and the day stayed dry and almost sunny as everyone made their way around the 18 hole course. After a quick re-fuel at the 12th hole, the teams continued on their way as excitement began to grow over who would win the title!
As groups of customers, suppliers and Wybone staff completed the course, a traditional Yorkshire lunch of pie, peas and chips was served in the clubhouse.
The awards presentation followed, with Steve Glazzard taking the winners title and Team 1 securing their place as the overall winning team.
Dave Probyn was the lucky runner up and our very own Chris Burn took the title of last place, winning a vacuum cleaner!
We had great feedback from the day and Dave Probyn (Barnsley Alhambra) even graced us with a speech to thank all of the teams and suppliers for ensuring such a great day.
John Tarrant (Barnsley Alhambra) also took the time to thank everyone for such a great day and described the event as “well ran, enjoyable and entertaining for all. The whole day was a success thanks to the team at Wybone.”
The teams finished the day with an evening meal of the infamous ‘Barnsley Chop’!
Plans are already underway for the next Wybone Golf Day and we’re happy to announce that the dates will be 20-21 July 2016. Attendees will enjoy one of our famous factory tours, an evening of Wybone entertainment and a day of golf. If you’d like to put your name down early, please send your details to email@example.com.
