Team Wybone take part in Colour Run for Weston Park Charity

June 1, 2018

Last month, a few of the Wybone team took part in the Mayhem Colour Run in Sheffield to raise money for Weston Park Cancer Charity!

At Wybone, we really like to work with local charities to see the difference that our fundraising efforts can make, and after meeting with the charity back in February, we were certain that we were running for a great cause!

We had a great day running on Tinsely canal whilst being doused with paint from bystanders – we were fortunate enough to have sunny weather on the day.

We’re excited to announce that we raised a fantastic £1426 for the charity, smashing our £1k target! The money we raised will go towards funding the vital things that the NHS is unable to.

Cancer is something that has, and is impacting all of our lives and we want to do all that we can to help Weston Park Hospital to provide a comfortable and healing environment for all those unfortunately affected by this horrible disease.

Weston Park Cancer Charity is Wybone’s chosen charity and is the region’s only specialist cancer hospital; the money we raise will be used to fund a number of projects which have a direct impact on the lives of those living with cancer, and help them and their families to live lives as full as possible following a cancer diagnosis.

We take part in lots of fundraising events throughout the year to help both local and national charities. We annually hold a bake sale for Macmillan Cancer Support and we’re now focusing our efforts on raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in honour of our late founder and chairman, Mr Wyatt.
