Wybone host national IPS Special Interest Group meeting

November 11, 2019

We welcomed the IPS (Infection Prevention Society) Care Home Special Interest Group this week for their latest meeting. It was a fantastic turnout for the group, with 25 attendees from across the country.

As a leading manufacturer of clinical and domestic sackholders to the NHS, we’ve worked closely with the IPS for many years to promote and sustain improvements in infection prevention.

We look after all of our guests when they come to visit, from hosting the venue to providing a proper Yorkshire pie and peas lunch!

Before the lunch break, it was time to show off our knowledge on a factory tour with our Sackholder Production Manager Andrew – a tour of our factory offers a unique insight into our manufacturing processes and the high-tech equipment we use. He showed the group around the RFG department, demonstrating our range of sack holders in steel, plastic and a hybrid combination of both.

Our Sales Manager Emma also held a presentation with our Senior Designer Dan, who introduced the Capsule II All Plastic Sackholder and demonstrated the strength test. We put customers and experts at the forefront of our design, so we opened up the floor to any questions and received some great feedback from the group about our newest clinical waste bin.

Jill Perlstrom-Wright, the Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator at Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust gave us some lovely comments. “Thank you for hosting us and in such fine style too! Your support is very much appreciated.”

Lisa Renshaw, Infection Prevention and Control Nurse at Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group shared her appreciation on Twitter and sent us some personal comments, “Thank you so much for your hospitality, the pie and peas were a winner. The day was a great success and you took great care of us.”

We love to show customers around our factory here in Barnsley, if you’d like to meet the team and take a look at how we do things here at Wybone, give us a call on 01226 35233 or send us an email to
