Wybone celebrates incredible Kilimanjaro fundraising achievement
Wybone was proud to attend the recent premiere of The Roof of Africa : Bullied – The Mountain We Face, a documentary following an incredible Kilimanjaro summit climb undertaken in support of Coram Kidscape.
The challenge saw a team of climbers take on Africa’s highest peak, with their collective efforts helping to raise an incredible £120,000 for Coram Kidscape and its work supporting children and families affected by bullying. An issue very close to Wybone’s heart.
Wybone was delighted to support the challenge with a £5,000 sponsorship, contributing towards the wider fundraising effort and helping to support an important cause.
Our Marketing Executive, Olivia, attended the documentary premiere on behalf of Wybone, joining the climbers, supporters and Coram Kidscape ambassadors to celebrate everything the team achieved, with a trip down the red carpet too!
It was fantastic to see the journey brought to life on the big screen and to hear more about the determination, teamwork and purpose behind the climb.
A huge congratulations to everyone who took part and helped raise an incredible £120,000 for Coram Kidscape. We’re proud to have supported the journey. 🏔️💜
The celebrations didn’t stop with the documentary. During the evening, it was also revealed that one of Coram Kidscape’s ambassadors had achieved a Guinness World Record for the incredible Sea to Summit challenge, which saw the team travel from the Indian Ocean to the summit of Kilimanjaro through a combination of swimming, cycling and trekking.
It made an already special evening even more memorable, celebrating not only the £120,000 raised for Coram Kidscape, but the extraordinary achievements of those behind the challenge.
