Wybone smash fundraising target for Weston Park!

July 2, 2018

Last week, we were presented with our fundraising cheque from Weston Park Cancer Charity.

Back in May, a few of the Wybone team took part in the Mayhem Colour Run in Sheffield to raise money for the charity. We had a great day running on Tinsely canal whilst being doused with paint from bystanders.

Darren Hayes, Weston Park’s Business Development Manager paid us a visit at Wybone headquarters to present us with the cheque. We’re excited to announce that we smashed our £1k target and raised a fantastic £1426.33! We can’t wait to see how our money will make a difference to the charity.

The charity congratulated us on our efforts on social media: “Awesome work Wybone! We’re extremely proud to have you on #TeamWestonPark – thank you so much for supporting us on our mission to create a better life for cancer patients locally.”

Weston Park Cancer Charity is Wybone’s chosen charity and is the region’s only specialist cancer hospital; the money we raise will be used to fund a number of projects that the NHS is unable to, which will have a direct impact on the lives of those living with cancer and help them and their families to live lives as full as possible following a cancer diagnosis.

We love to take part in fundraising events to raise money for both local and national charities; this week, we will be taking part in our Annual Golf Day to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in honour of our late founder and chairman, Mr Wyatt.

The day will involve Wybone customers, old and new, joining us for a round of golf and competing to win a wide range of prizes, all for a good cause.

Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages later in the week to see photographs from the day!
