Wybone supports apprentice scheme!

August 5, 2014

Wybone Manufacturing Technician, Nathan Clarke has successfully completed a Sheet Metal and Fabrication apprenticeship at Barnsley College.

The three year course involved the fundamental learning of welding, including operating specialist welding and fabrication techniques, learning to use precision tools to complete projects as required and improving material awareness to quickly and efficiently produce projects of different designs and component make-up.

Health and safety is also an important area covered in the apprenticeship as Wybone operates a strict policy to ensure the highest possible standards are met in the busy manufacturing factory.

Nathan comments on his successful completion of the apprenticeship, “I really enjoyed completing my course and I have learned a lot of valuable techniques to help me in my role at Wybone. The different welding methods that I have learned will help me to progress myself and I am happy to have received such great support from my managers.”

Keith Gill, Production Manager “Wybone is keen to help staff to progress both personally and professionally whilst maintaining the highest standards for production of all products. We are proud to have supported Nathan in his apprenticeship.”
